When we ask students what their favourite dance genre is, many will say Contemporary and Lyrical as they love the freedom it brings their body and how they can express their emotions through the movement these dance styles bring. We are very lucky to have two Sam Dominic and Heidi Jennings on our team who both bring their own unique style and choreography to our classes. Their bios are pretty impressive as well.

Sam Dominic

After learning at a very young age his passion for contemporary dance and ballet, Samuel embarked on his professional training at just age 14. At the age of 16, he was invited to partake in a traineeship with Brisbane based contemporary dance company, Expressions. Samuel’s international stage credentials include: Royal Caribbean’s “Saturday Night Fever” The Broadway Musical, Royal Caribbean’s “In the Air” A full acrobatic and aerial Show, Norwegian Cruise Lines “Encore”, “Rock You Tonight” and “What the World Needs Now”.

Heidi Jennings

Trained in Melbourne studying full-time ballet at Danceworld 301, Heidi has been working globally as a professional dancer for the last 10 years. She has performed in various Casino shows, corporate events and on major Cruise Lines. A well sought after choreographer and dance teacher on the gold coast she wishes to inspire her students and pass on all that she has learnt from working and travelling the world.

Michelle Doyle

As a leader in the Australian dance industry, Michelle has worked extensively in the performing arts for more than 20 years. Her career has seen her work with the world’s best directors and choreographers including Baz Lurhmann, George Miller, David Atkins, Kelley Abbey, Wade Robson, The Squared Division, John O’Connell, Jason Coleman and Dein Perry. Over two decades as a performing arts professional, Michelle secured roles in major stage productions including Singin’ in the Rain and Grease Arena Spectacular. She was cast in Happy Feet 2 and The Son of Mask, plus she performed on screen at the TV Week Logie Awards, Helpmann Awards, X Factor, Australian Idol, MTV Music Awards and Aria Awards. Michelle has danced for the Nickelodeon Awards and the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games. She performed with leading music icons including Kylie Minogue, Jessica Mauboy, Tina Arena, Guy Sebastian, Boyzone, Vanessa Amorosi, The Rogue Traders and Sneaky Sound System.
