Launch Performing Arts Centre is proud to offer a comprehensive training program that nurtures individual talent.
These lessons are specifically designed to nurture the individual talent of the artist, to ensure they have the best possible chance of success.
Our Pre-Professional programs take a blended training approach that includes highly specialised dance training in both technical and commercial genres.
We also provide personalised mentoring in the business aspects of developing a successful career in the arts.
With strictly limited spots available, we are dedicated to ensuring you get one-on-one attention in both class and mentoring sessions. It is essential as an artist that you discover who you are and where you want to go and that you train in all areas, focusing on improving both strengths and weaknesses.
Auditions are now open for 2021. Choose to audition in studio at one of our pre-professional classes, allowing you to not only showcase your technical and dance ability, but also allow you to experience the LAUNCH difference through taking class with our highly successful industry faculty.
Or choose to audition by video submission if you are unable to join an in studio class.

There are so many different and exciting pathways one can take within performing arts. It is our job to guide and mentor you down your ideal path to ensure your best possible chance of success.
We offer a range of nationally recognised certificate qualifications within our Pre-Professional program.
Choose the certification level that suits you while still taking full advantage of the dance training and mentoring available within the program. If you choose a national qualification course, you will complete extra hours allocated to theory and assessments. To help with this, assistance in tutoring is available.
Part of the selection criteria for all our courses within the Pre-Professional program is an in-studio audition (or via video submission) with LAUNCH Performing Arts Centre Director, Michelle Hopper Doyle .
Applicants will be required to attend one full day of our course so we can assess your skill level. If you are unable to attend a day in person, you can apply through video submission.
All applicants are required to attend an interview with the course director/s. It is essential we get to know you and your goals so we can assess whether you are the right candidate.

As a leader in the Australian dance industry, Michelle has worked extensively in the performing arts for more than 20 years. Her career has seen her work with the world’s best directors and choreographers including Baz Lurhmann, George Miller, David Atkins, Kelley Abbey, Wade Robson, The Squared Division, John O’Connell, Jason Coleman and Dein Perry.
Over two decades as a performing arts professional, Michelle secured roles in major stage productions including Singin’ in the Rain and Grease Arena Spectacular. She was cast in Happy Feet 2 and The Son of Mask, plus she performed on screen at the TV Week Logie Awards, Helpmann Awards, X Factor, Australian Idol, MTV Music Awards and Aria Awards.
Michelle has danced for the Nickelodeon Awards and the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games. She performed with leading music icons including Kylie Minogue, Jessica Mauboy, Tina Arena, Guy Sebastian, Boyzone, Vanessa Amorosi, The Rogue Traders and Sneaky Sound System.

LAUNCH has partnered with the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) to present our unique certificate course syllabus.
ATOD are Leaders in the field of dance education with a rich history in providing dance syllabus’ of the highest technical standard in order to provide students with performance and leadership opportunities.
ATOD is the registered RTO for the LAUNCH Performing Arts Centre (RTO #31624).
